Biketreks Grizedale is located in Grizedale Forest just beyond the visitor centre and opposite Go Ape.  Our address is Biketreks Grizedale, Grizedale Forest, Ambleside, Cumbria, LA22 0QJ.

There is unfortunately no easy or quick way to get to Grizedale and Sat Nav's tend to get you lost using our postcode....The easiest way is to navigate to Hawkshead if heading in from Ambleside end, or to Satterthwaite if coming in from Newby Bridge / Ulverston.  You need to follow the brown tourist signs with some trees on.

As you approach the Forest there are 2 huge car parks that are pay on exiting so you don't have to worry about rushing around to get back for parking meters.

From the main car park we are 2-5 minutes walk and you need to head towards the visitor centre and cafe to find us.  Head over the wooden bridge between Go Ape and the cafe, once across you'll find the shop in front of you and a plethora of bikes hung up outside.

If you struggle you can give us a shout on 015394 31245 and select option 1.  Please note that between 9am and 11am we are generally busy getting people out on bikes so we aren't always available to answer the phone.

We are open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm in the shop and service centre, and hire operates between 9:30am and 4pm only.  Our latest hire collection is 1pm and all bikes must be back by 4pm.

We will be closed on Tuesday 11th June 2024 for staff first aid renewal.
