E-bike demo centre - Bikes Available

We are an E-bike specialist demo centre. We aim to offer one of the countries most comprehensive line ups of the best the industry has to offer! Being in such a beautiful but sometimes punishing part of the country this is an excellent test ground for bikes. If they can handle it here they'll handle just about anywhere!


We can still get our hand on other bikes from our brands so give us a shout if we don't have a bike that you're after listed below. 

Demos are £100 per rider which covers up to 3 bikes to be ridden back to back if you want to compare different options.

Specialized. Made for riders, by riders 

We have worked with Specialized for over 20 years, is our biggest brand and a founding father of the mountain bike industry. Specialized make high quality bikes from little shredders for the kids all the way through to high powered ebikes and classics like the Stumpjumper.

Norco

Norco began as Northern Cycle Industries in 1964 – in a chicken coop - and those grassroots have kept them connected to what matters most ever since. They have evolved over the years, but their hard work, passion and commitment to innovation has always been how they get things done. When they discover a new trail that they love, or they see an opportunity to make a ride better, they challenge themselves to figure out how to improve what they do. Sometimes, they even invent a whole new way to do it.

Santa Cruz - Quality bikes since 1994

We love Santa Cruz Bikes here at Biketreks with a few of our staff owning Cruz's. Another brand we have worked with for many years. Providing a top notch bike for every occasion. New for 2025 is the Santa Cruz Vala - The Vala is a full-power ebike that delivers precision and power. It’s made for riders looking for focused performance on the best trails. Perfectly balanced, refined suspension and the finest quality construction, as always.

Transition

Transition have made a name for themselves building rowdy, hard hitting, durable bikes over the years. Offering good value and quality provided by their love for biking. Their range has grown larger over the years to cover everything from kids full suspension rigs, hardtails and short travel mile eaters to lightweight and full fat E-bikes. They will likely have a bike that suits you mountainbiking needs in their range!

With all of our bikes, parts are mostly interchangeable so if you're after trying a particular set of forks / wheels / groupset / bars / brakes / shock on a bike then we can where possible set it up to have those things on it.

Sometimes we can get other sizes and models off our suppliers but bear in mind that there are over 40 dealers after the same set of bikes so it's not always possible but we will try.

All demo bookings must be paid for at the time of booking, and if you subsequently buy a bike from any of our shops after the demo (within 3 months) we will refund you the £100 demo fee.

To inquire about a demo bike or to book one you'll need to give us a ring on 015394 31245 and select the Grizedale option. 

Be warned, we will have a good chat with you to ensure you're genuinely looking at buying a bike and not just going on a Lake District jolly - we have hire bikes for that purpose!  

  • You can ride up to 3 bikes back to back should you choose, anymore and it gets too tight on timings we find.
  • For demo card details will be stored securely on file. Money will only be taken if we feel the bikes are returned to us with serious damage.
  • Riders must be 18 years or older to demo bikes on their own, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Riders must be 14 or older to ride an E-bike.
  • Bikes must be ridden in the forest, we can suggest routes to suit you but we tend to send people on a Bridleway loop using the 3 Witches.
