Guided Rides

Based in the Lake District National Park, Grizedale Forest is a perfect location to start a mountain bike ride and by using our guides you can leave the map at home.

Our expert local guides have a wealth of knowledge and experience about our extensive trail network and can cater a ride to suit any ability.  Whether you are after amazing views or if you fancy some lake district rocky tech - we can tailor a ride specific for you and your group.

We can also supply bikes at a discounted rate if you do not have your own.  We have electric and non electric in hardtail and full suspension formats.

Our guides are MBL level 2 certified and level 3 trained, all with 3 day trail specific first aid.  We are able to take you on all the Forest tracks, trails and bridleways within Grizedale and beyond if you want something more adventurous.

You don't need to be a riding expert to come out, if you're wanting a few hours gravel tracking round a Lake with stunning views on an electric hardtail then we can more than cater for that.

You've just got to note that you need to be ready for all weathers in one day, and you need a basic level of fitness as we can't go anywhere without encountering an uphill - electric bikes will help here....

• Please note that riders must be at least 14 years old to hire an electric bike
• All riders under 18 years old must be accompanied by a riding adult
• We work on a max of 1:6 ratio on electric bikes and 1:8 on non electric
• All bookings need to be a minimum of a week in advance and full payment is taken at the time of booking.  For booking t's and c's see the main page of the website.
• A half day session is 10am to 1pm OR 1pm to 4pm
• A full day is 10am to 4pm with a lunch stop
• Lunch is not provided but can be for circa £10 a head.
